About me
For the past six years, I've been helping owners navigate the complexities of life with their dogs. My journey started with my own dog, Dougie, whose behavioral challenges sparked a deep passion for understanding why dogs do what they do—how behavior, genetics, nutrition, and overall well-being all connect. I’ve experienced firsthand the frustrations and uncertainties that come with dog ownership, and I understand how overwhelming it can be to find the right path forward.
City life comes with its own set of challenges, and I have a special place in my heart for dog owners trying to balance busy schedules, small spaces, and the endless stream of advice out there. The dog world can be noisy, but I’m here to help you cut through it with straightforward, practical guidance that actually fits your life. Training isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress.
I spent 15 years living in Seattle, WA, where I had the opportunity to work under Rachel Mark of On The Mark Balanced Training. Since then, I’ve continued honing my skills by shadowing local trainers —working with all kinds of dogs and behaviors to better understand what truly works.
When I’m not working with client dogs, you’ll usually find me exploring new places with Dougie or diving into one of my many “old lady” hobbies. I love creating with my hands—whether it’s sewing, doodling, gardening, or fixing things around the house. I’m always up for a creative project. When I need to recharge, you can find me in the mountains—snowboarding is my happy place.
